How to Support Someone Struggling with Infertility
According to the National Infertility Association, RESOLVE, one in eight people knows someone experiencing infertility. There is almost nothing as difficult as watching someone you love and care for suffering. I think we all have a deep-seeded need to reach out to those in our lives that are in pain, but we often don't know how, exactly, to do it. Infertility is such a personal issue that is rarely talked about openly making it even more difficult to know how to be supportive. Inevitably we end up putting our foot in our mouth or walking away from a situation feeling like our attempts to comfort only made things worse.
