National Infertility Awareness Week
Wallin & Luna Counseling Associates and RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association are celebrating National infertility Awareness Week, April 24-May1, joining millions of women and men fighting the disease of infertility, healthcare professionals, psychologists, marriage and family therapists and other thought leaders to promote greater awareness about infertility.
RESOLVE, in its 35th year of service, is the leading consumer voice in educating the 7.3 million Americans facing the disease of infertility to take charge of their family building journey. RESOLVE advocates for needed insurance coverage to enable greater access to effective and affordable treatments, increased infertility research for cures and improved therapies, exapanded public education about infertility risks and options and incentives to foster adoption as a family building alternative. They also provide an infrastructure for valuable peer support groups throughout the country.
Wallin & Luna Counseling Associates has been providing mental health services for infertility in the Albuquerque area since 2006 and continues to expand it's partnerships with local medical professionals, health insurance companies and RESOLVE so that access to emotional support for infertilty will no longer be a barrier in the community and by volunteering their office space for monthly RESOLVE support group meetings.
RESOLVE's National Infertility Awareness Week educates the public and creates greater awareness and understanding about infertility in New Mexico, to help women and men find the answers and get the support they need to make important medical decisions and address the medical, emotional , social and economic challenges infertility can present.
Founded in 1974, RESOLVE, headquartered in McLean, VA, is the oldest and largest consumer-based, nonprofit group that provides educaiton, advocacy and compassionate support for those struggling with infertility in the US.
