Many Mothers of Albuquerque Welcomes Wallin & Luna
Many Mothers is a non-profit organization that offers support to families with newborns. They are new to Albuquerque but not new to New Mexico. The first chapter of Many Mothers started 12 years ago in Santa Fe. This is a wonderful organization and when we found out about it we jumped at the chance to be involved in some way. In fact, I became one of the first volunteers in the Albuquerque area and it has been the most rewarding and fun-filled experience. I get to hold a shiny new baby once or twice a week and I've made a new friend in her mom. I really look forward to my "Many Mothers" time each week. If you have time to give, consider getting involved with this great organization. They are always looking for volunteers.
We will be guest facilitators at the December Many Mothers Circle Group. The Circle Group is a monthly meeting that gives new moms and dads a chance to visit and get support as well as education on all sorts of baby-related topics. The topic for the day will be Postpartum Adjustment and Self-care. Please consider joining the meeting if you want to meet other new moms and dads and learn more about Many Mothers. See our calendar for details.
