NEW! Infertility Support Group in Albuquerque
I'm so happy to share the good news. Resolve, the National Infertility Association, now has a presence in New Mexico. Starting in January 2010 a brand new peer-led support meeting will be held monthly to provide a safe place for individuals and families to get education and support on their journey to parenthood. Below is an excerpt from the Resolve Flyer. "Peer-led" means that there is no counselor at the meeting. The group is run by it's members.
There is just no substitute for talking with others that are going through a similar experience and gaining insight, wisdom, encouragement and hope from one another. If you've been thinking that you are "all alone" in your sorrow or anger think again. Consider adding this group to your support network.
If any of the following statements apply to you, please consider attending the next meeting:
- I feel lonely and isolated
- I have very few people to talk with about infertility. No one seems to understand.
- Everyone I know is pregnant or has children.
- Infertility is affecting my work and career.
- I feel that my life plan is out of control.
- I'm having trouble navigating through my medical treatment options.
- Holidays and coping with family and friends are becoming more difficult.
Meetings will be held the 3rd Thursday of each month and will be one hour in length. Contact Rachel at 417-1343 or abqresolve@yahoo.com for times and locations.
